The system is designed for both indoor and outdoor use, is weather-resistant (IP65 rated), and connects to your home's 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network via the included Sync Module XR.
- Extended Range: The primary feature is its extended range capability using the Sync Module XR, which utilizes a proprietary radio frequency (900MHz band) to reduce Wi-Fi congestion. This allows for a range of up to 250 feet in XR mode and up to 400 feet in XR+ mode from the module (performance and video resolution may vary).
- Video Quality: The camera records in 1080p HD video when connected via Wi-Fi. In XR mode, the resolution is up to 720p, and in XR+ mode, it is 360p. The field of view is a wide 143° diagonal.
- Battery Life: It offers an impressive battery life of up to two years on two included AA 1.5V lithium metal batteries, based on default settings.
- Audio and Motion: The camera features enhanced dual-zone motion detection and two-way audio, allowing you to see and speak to visitors from the Blink app. Two-way audio is disabled in XR+ mode.
- Storage Options: It includes a free 30-day trial of the Blink Subscription Plan for cloud storage. Alternatively, you can store videos locally by inserting a microSD card (sold separately) into the Sync Module XR.
